Translation of User guides

End Client: Major Surgical equipment producer

This major order involved coordinating the translation and DTP of two user guides into eight languages, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Slovak, Slovenian, Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian. The text which was related to surgical implants was translated using Trados by medical specialists.

Skrivanek in partnership with its branches short listed and tested a number of appropriately qualified translators from its extensive supplier database before choosing the most suitable for the project. The translators chosen were all graduates in medical related disciplines with extensive medical translation experience.

Our experienced DTP team worked with the translated text and original Quark files on the Mac platform, resolving font, formatting and layout issues to produce print ready final files with layout identical to the original English source.
