Association of Language Schools and Agencies – AJŠA

The Association of Language Schools and Agencies Czech Republic (AJŠA CR) is an association gathering language schools that meet the strict methodological and linguistic criteria required by the association. AJŠA was registered at the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic on 11 May 2005, reg. No. 270 00 125. The mission of AJŠA Czech Republic is to improve language education within the Czech Republic.

The Association of Adult Education Institutions in the Czech Republic

The Association of Adult Education Institutions in the Czech Republic with a tradition dating back to 1990 is the largest professional association of its kind, and aims to promote the interests and needs of adult education institutions, concentrate professional capacities for solutions and development in this area, cooperate with the State authorities and other entities in preparation and implementation of legislative and other measures of adult education, organize events for professionals and the general public.

TAUS Data Association (TDA)

The TAUS Data Association is a new association jointly established by organizations active in buying and supplying translation services and technologies, aimed at sharing parallel language data with the objective of stimulating innovation and automation of translation activities. The Association hosts translation memories and glossaries in all languages structured by industry domains and company indexes. TDA gives free access to its databases for looking up translations of terms and phrases. Members are able to select and pool data to increase translation efficiency and improve translation quality. Skrivanek is one of the founding members and also a so-called golden member of the association.

TAUS — Translation Automation User Society

The Translation Automation User Society (TAUS) is a community of users and providers of translation technologies and services. The ambition of the TAUS community is to translate a manifold of content in an increasing number of languages through technology adoption, service innovation and cross-industry collaboration. TAUS focuses on the whole spectrum of authoring, translation and globalization processes and technologies.

GALA — The Globalization and Localization Association

The Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) is a fully representative, non-profit, international industry association for the translation, internationalization, localization, and globalization industry. The association gives members a common forum to discuss issues, create innovative solutions, promote the industry, and present a joint - and more powerful - voice within the industry and to the outside community. Skrivanek is a member of GALA.

ACTA

The Association of Czech Translation Agencies (ACTA) is an interest group of legal entities providing translation and interpreting services. Since its foundation in 2005, the ACTA has been a member of the European Union of Associations of Translation Companies (EUATC), which unites all European national translation company associations. Skrivanek is one of the members establishing this association.

EUATC

The EUATC is an international organization and the only one of its kind in Europe representing quality-oriented translation companies. It was established in 1994 and its members are national associations of translation companies. Skrivanek is a member The Association of Czech Translation Agencies (ACTA), which is a member of the EUATC.

ATC — The Association of Translation Companies

The Association of Translation Companies was formed in 1976 by a group of leading translation companies in Britain, making it one of the oldest organizations representing the interests of translation companies worldwide.
