Tuesday 13 December – an artistic photographer will visit to photograph the children

Morning circle: “Christmas is here”
Why do we celebrate Christmas? How do we celebrate Christmas in the Czech Republic? How do we celebrate Christmas in other countries?
Engaging in popular Czech Christmas traditions – cutting apples, throwing shoes, nut ships in a basin, and pouring wax.
What are the symbols of Christmas, what do they look like, and where are they used? Decorating trees, sweets, carp scales, presents, coloured chains, golden pigs, and cracking nuts.
Songs: “Vondráši, Matóši”, “Tichá noc”, “We wish you a Merry Christmas”
Practicing the programme for the Christmas party. Creating music and choreographed movement.
Repeating songs and dances.
Games:
Catching magic Christmas carps – developing patience and concentration
Christmas Market – developing relationships between people following the rule of good behaviour and developing pre-mathematical quantitative reasoning
Creation: Christmas wishes, decorating the Christmas tree, Christmas carp, baking sweets
Activities that target the development of fine motor skills (cutting, gluing, free movement of the wrist, developing hand muscles, practicing hygienic habits, working with non-traditional materials, learning new artistic techniques, creating group projects – learning to be a member of a group).
